Reaching Out

The first step to overcoming your struggles is to reach out and talk to someone about what you're going through, what you've been thinking and how you've been feeling.

There are many options for you to reach out as a starting point...

  1. If it is an emergency and you're about to attempt suicide - Call 911 and they will help you begin the process of recovery

  2. If you've been thinking of suicide and/or are struggling with life in general, talk to a Parent, Sibling, Teacher, Coach, Counselor or someone in your life that you can open up with.  If that's difficult for you to do, write it in a letter.

  3. Call a help line where you can remain annonymous
In Canada 1-800-668-6868, in the US 1-800-773-8255
or send an email from anywhere around the world to www.yourlifecounts.org
  4.
  5.  Click here to locate other resources in your community if you live in Canada

As much as you may feel alone and like no one cares about you and that you are alone - the people around you may not be great at showing you it, but there is a lot of love and support all around you (even from those whom you've never met) and it's important to realize that you don't have to deal with your struggles all on your own.

REACH OUT NOW...  It will all be worth it!
